<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Dear Son,<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I am writing you this
letter because I want you to know how much mommy loves you. Which is way beyond
words but I will try my best to put it in this format.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Granted mommy can be quite
overwhelming, overprotective, see no wrong when it comes to you, and down right
out of her mind (as you get older you will think that). I just want you to know
that EVERYTHING I do, I do for you. Never in a million years would I ever have
thought I would and could feel such love. LOVE exuberates from me to you.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">My baby, my son, my
firstborn, my first true love, you are worth more to me than anyone else in
this world. Yes baby, you even trumped me, your own mother. You are priceless!
Archer James my love, you are the best thing to ever happen to me.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"></span></div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">As I write this to you, I
want you to know a few things of what mommy has planned for you.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Affection</b><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I will give you plenty of
affection. Affection to the point that you will wonder if I could give you
anymore. And guess what baby boy, I CAN give plenty more! I want you to know
the importance of affection. I didn't get much growing up and I want you my
dear to have it all. I do not want you yearning for affection. Especially from
another woman. No sir, I will provide that for you. Little hugs and kisses. Holding
your hands until you let go. Smiling at the little things you do. I will give
that to you. So going forward you can give your woman affection.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Trust me son, I've got you
all set up for the woman in your life. Even though I will have a hard time
accepting it and letting you go, as long as you make your wife happy. I will be
happy too. And by the way, you can only have one wife in your lifetime, so make
sure she is worth it!<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Be a Man</b><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Saying
you are one and actually doing it are 2 completely different things! Now, me
being your mother I am going to make sure you are being a man versus saying it.
No woman wants a boy thinking he is somebody else (a man). If you have this
woman thinking you are a man, do not get upset when manhood is thrown at you.
That is all I have to say about that. Take heed and figure out who you want to
be. A man or a pretend to be. I'll tell you this much, a pretend to be never
makes it far.</span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"> </span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">If you're in it for getting
something out of a female than giving, then you are wearing the wrong underwear
my son. Being a man is about giving than getting. Don't you forget that.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Respect</b><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I am
going to teach you respect, give you respect, and also make you earn respect.
Respect my darling does not come easy (no sweetheart it doesn't). You get that
from me because you are my son and because I am your mother. NO ONE else will
give you respect unless it is earned. It's a cold world out there my love, and
I will make sure you are prepared.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Love</b><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Love is a very strong word
and it means a whole lot. Don't ever say those words without meaning it. That
other person will hold you hostage of it (I promise you they will). Beside that
love is a beautiful thing. Love will bring you up yet it can bring you down. I
want you to love with all you have to give but please do not love blindly. That
is a dangerous and a devastating thing. Do not think that love will cure all
things because it won't. It just massacred things. When love is true and pure
no matter what, that love will be unconditional. And unconditional love is the
best type of love.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Lesson
Learned</b><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">My dear
son, life has a funny way of teaching you plenty of things. What I want you to
know is every journey you go through, there is a lesson to it. It's up to you
to see what is presented to you and know how you are going to handle it.</span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"> </span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">You know that thing called
Karma? Yes baby, she is real and she does not miss anyone. I am going to need
you to treat people the way you would want to be treated. It is as simple as
that.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Responsibility</b><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">As a man and the way society
is set up, you will have a lot of responsibilities. Responsibility to be a man.
A man that can and will handle his own. A man that no matter what has pride in
what he has done (only if it’s good now). A man that know that doing things
will get him far and also know that you have honor in your responsibilities.
Don't EVER neglect your responsibilities. I will not stand for it so therefore
you should never allow it.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Discipline</b><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I am
going to need you to discipline yourself. Yes, life is not easy nor is good
things just handed to you. You have to work for it. You have to know how too
and feel in your heart what is right. Discipline yourself to not let anger get
the best of you. Discipline yourself that no matter what things could be worse.
Discipline yourself for a better achievement. You can do it!</span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">No matter
what you do in your life, I need you to know that I WILL always be your #1 avid
fan. I will always have your best interest, I will always be there for you. I
know there will be some disappoints to come, no one is perfect. I do not want
you ever thinking that I love you any less. You are my world, my sunshine, my
life, and my soul. Archer James you are my everything. No matter what you do,
mommy will always be here for you.</span></div>

<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">At the end of the day, I am
doing this all for you son. I want you to be a proper gentlemen and an
honorable person (successful as well). There is just so much mommy can do for
you but at a certain point my dear, it is up to you. So make mommy proud. I love you.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "Georgia",serif;">I had the pleasure
of doing a review with <a href="http://www.softjox.com/" style="background-color: white;" target="_blank"><span style="color: #a64d79;">Softjox</span></a>. They are a company that specializes in plush
sports characters. I have to admit I was a little skeptical of how it would
look in person. As we all know everything usually looks better online. But when
I opened the box, I smiled and grinned ear to ear. And thought to myself - my
son is going to love this. <o:p></o:p></span><br />

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">What I really
loved and smiled about the most was the sincere thank you letter I received. I actually couldn’t
help but feel so much gratitude towards </span><a href="http://www.softjox.com/" style="font-family: Georgia, serif;" target="_blank"><span style="background-color: white; color: #a64d79;">Softjox</span></a><span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;"> because it was HAND WRITTEN!

actually take the time to thank their customers.</span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">AJ took an
immediate liking to him. His facial expression was priceless. Kind of made me
wish I waited until Christmas. We unpacked him after mommy took plenty of
pictures. My poor baby couldn't wait. And then we named him. His name is Blue.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVWFFolmbA3zvHF-lgkXm7i8Gk6YrwbZFOEbumi3g3-axe84jf-cOtzh_o1gekRwGwFh6uCTunpc-PMe-SNnaeSoUy8ipWarHi0cSznOnOtXQbu0H4AJXw8bGN3da5A2NSXKeGV4O95AbJ/s1600/softjoxaj.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVWFFolmbA3zvHF-lgkXm7i8Gk6YrwbZFOEbumi3g3-axe84jf-cOtzh_o1gekRwGwFh6uCTunpc-PMe-SNnaeSoUy8ipWarHi0cSznOnOtXQbu0H4AJXw8bGN3da5A2NSXKeGV4O95AbJ/s1600/softjoxaj.jpg" height="200" width="400" /></a></div>
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Blue because that's the color he is and Blue because my son insisted. (Forgive him,
he is still learning his colors) He thinks Blue is his name. Even
though Archer is right on the back….. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">That’s a toddler
for ya.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I chose the color
blue because I am a Cowboys fan. I know, I know, shut your mouth! I love them
and I am breeding a little Cowboy fan too. I also love how soft Blue is. He is like
a plush pillow shaped in a football player, which technically he is. He is 20”,
almost the same size of my son, which makes me laugh because side by side you
would think Blue could take him. <a href="http://www.softjox.com/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #a64d79;">*Hut! Hut! Hut!*</span></a></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Blue is available in other colors. There’s blue, green, red, and black. The basic colors anyone would need
to support their favorite team. And in two sizes 15” and 20”. Big enough for
the little ones to play with. The best part of course is customization. I mean,
let’s be honest. Who wouldn't like something to call their own? You can
customize the name and number. I obviously went with Archer and #1 because he
is my number one pal. And we now have a plush character to remind me of that.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWr1q5-L7fLXlJeVN7R3AByt406jBm7diFSIN8ztlKzLligD_kPb8YceZG5equx_9s-ufhe_4-bauk9D7Ur04o6TEb5hos2abpqMnW1nzuokjW9AFqouZMcVgJsNqrLILutJVZwAHrZJ6_/s1600/softjoxaj1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWr1q5-L7fLXlJeVN7R3AByt406jBm7diFSIN8ztlKzLligD_kPb8YceZG5equx_9s-ufhe_4-bauk9D7Ur04o6TEb5hos2abpqMnW1nzuokjW9AFqouZMcVgJsNqrLILutJVZwAHrZJ6_/s1600/softjoxaj1.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">These little
characters are a perfect gift for a loved one. Perfect for a toddler, a child,
teenagers, and even a man child (we all know one). Simply customize these

son goes to daycare, there’s no surprise he came home with a cold from hell. Who
would of imagine, 5 little kids running around coughing and sneezing on each
other that no bodily fluids would be exchanged. I guess that’s just part of the
package he gets when enrolled in Daycare. And to think I pay for this weekly.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">To
your curious baby, your house is one big adventure just waiting to happen. While exploration should be encouraged, you
will need to make sure you have removed as many hazards as possible before your
baby sets off on his journey.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">In
this guide I will cover the most common household dangers to your baby and how
you can prevent them.</span><br />

<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">There
will be lots of tumbles and falls as your baby learns to walk. If your baby
falls on carpet there is no reason for concern. If your baby falls and hits his
head on the edge of a coffee table you are almost guaranteed a trip to the
hospital. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Glance
around each room of your home and look for pieces of furniture below knee
height that your baby could bump his head on during a fall. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Coffee
tables, hearth edges, TV stands and the like will all need to undergo a baby
proofing treatment. You can either remove the furniture completely or invest in
foam padding to protect your little ones head in the event of a fall.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Block those Electrical Outlets<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">An
unusual object sticking out from the wall at your baby’s head height is just
begging further investigation. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">A
curious baby can seriously injure himself by poking objects inside an
outlet. Fortunately power outlets are
ridiculously cheap and easy to baby proof.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Plastic
plug covers slot into sockets you are not using and prevent anything from being
poked inside. You can pick up a pack
from your local hardware store for the price of a cup of coffee. If you are feeling frugal you can even use a
couple of layers of duct tape to effectively cover unused sockets.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">

<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Watch the Wires<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Many
household appliances come with cords that are just that little bit too long. To
your baby, a hanging lead is just begging to be pulled on.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">The
problem is that these cords are attached to heavy objects such as a kettle,
iron or lamp. It goes without saying that if any of these were to fall on your
baby, there will be tears.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Always
keep an eye out for hanging cords. You
can shorten leads that are too long by coiling it up and using a zip tie or two
to hold it into place.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Stair Safety<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;"><br />
Stairs and babies simply do not mix. Your toddler can hardly walk on flat
flooring without falling over. The same
goes for staircases with the added danger of your baby tumbling to the bottom.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">The
easiest way to baby proof a staircase is a baby gate at the top and
bottom. Ensure that the only time your
baby goes up or down the stairs is under your supervision.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">While
on the topic of baby gates, these are perhaps the easiest way to section off
areas of your house that you do not want your baby to enter. An absolute must
for any new mother.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">

<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Fear the fireplace<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Fires
and babies simply do not mix. Your little one has no concept of the pain a hot
surface can cause. This, coupled with the flickering flames luring a curious
baby ever closer is a recipe for disaster.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">A
baby fence around the perimeter of the fireplace will stop your baby from
getting too close while still enjoying the warmth given off by the fire.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Another
way to keep your baby safe is to keep your little one in a baby pen each and

going to answer that one. This little 2 year old has had me stumped on several occasion.</span></div>

him that since he was able to point to his body parts and name them. What he
doesn’t understand is why mommy doesn’t have a penis. The way he points his
finger with a confused face, squinting his eyebrows and the innocence in his

<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">When he would ask “what’s that mommy?”. The only scenario in my head I could
play out is the scene from Kindergarten cop. When the little boy had it all
figured out and proudly stated that “boy's have a penis, and girl's have a vagina”. I
mean, technically he is right. And what more of an explanation does this
toddler need? He pretty much summed it up. Why not go under his lead? Right? …..
I’m pretty sure AJ would understand. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Boy's have a penis and girl's have a vagina. Is what I would repeat
to myself. As if I needed a reminder. As if I didn’t figure this out many, many
years ago. I decided it was time to try and differentiate the two. He is now
comprehending that we have different anatomy and is clearly asking (pointing) questions
about it. So I tried to explain as best as I could. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">I pointed and said "mommy has a vagina because she is a girl". "A girl
is different than a boy". "And a boy has a penis because he is different than a
girl". How many times can I try and change the terms but have the same meaning
is beyond me but I did try. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">I have no idea what else to say to this little boy. He is only two. I figured when he
gets older and can fully understand the difference between male and female
would be an even better time to tell him. Right???<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Can you tell I have no idea what I am doing here? <o:p></o:p></span><br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHVNnQfAiSsckU8yh4pqk8vW06vAZboMYDD4uvCVWAJgiSZIDkbaVGi1PmjjPsuVZif0ntvpJ99BtwX3nTnRAVyh2YFHch__LdRFuVwV7vHzFYDTgFC9Pk8d9DeRVZnXvGo_ObnV-GU_1T/s1600/wmpcarcart.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHVNnQfAiSsckU8yh4pqk8vW06vAZboMYDD4uvCVWAJgiSZIDkbaVGi1PmjjPsuVZif0ntvpJ99BtwX3nTnRAVyh2YFHch__LdRFuVwV7vHzFYDTgFC9Pk8d9DeRVZnXvGo_ObnV-GU_1T/s1600/wmpcarcart.jpg" height="212" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My little one has quiet the temper. Actually he has THE temper.<br />
I really don't know who this child is.</div>
<br />
He is not mine.<br />
<br />
And I do not claim him when we go out.<br />
<br />
Nu-huh.<br />
<br />
I don't know who he is. He's not mine.<br />
<br />
I keep telling myself (it soothes me) denial is one hell of a mind trick, meanwhile my little monster is calling me mommy every step of the way.<br />
<br />
Totally embarrassed by my son actions, I picked him up and put him back in the cart. That triggered an even more dramatic scene he had to present (I should really put him into acting school). He continued to act like a bloody fool, hooting and hollering all through the aisles. I walk on by the innocent bystanders who have to witness this tragic event with a weak and weary smile.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
In my head, I'm thinking "shoot me now", "this kid is crazy", and "I am sorry you people have to deal with this". And in their heads they're thinking "would she shut that kid up", "that poor mom", "she has no control", "that child is crazy".<br />
<br />
I am walking around with the spawn of Satan. This is Rosemary's baby all grown up.<br />
<br />
I continued to do my shopping trying my best to hurry up before my son tries to do something spectacular (he goes out with a bang). And a big bang is something I do not want nor need in this arena. I try to keep him entertained between his meltdowns by giving him easy things he can put next to him (in the car).<br />
<br />
I didn't give him the eggs (for obvious reasons) and the boy had to transform back to his maniacal ways. Why? I'm almost done (dairy is usually the last thing I pick up before heading out). He kept on screaming "no mommy, do it" (no mommy I want to do it) I told him "no, eggs are fragile and you will break them". That didn't sit well with him so he then proceeded to yell saying "that way" pointing back to the dairy section so he can put the eggs in. "That way mommy" "that way" was all anyone would hear who crossed paths with me on the way to the checkout.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvS94EJmAC8aIqW-ps976V6gl3y5h-jBJea6qONGQLixSa-0Ii_Ra-1jNN-KYXS63lX0AFXH7egU8B1YiqI5RE5w1yZf8r8SHssaplJP21yZwkVwezXZxoCmtEz4yZ-YwL7vNQkYRCRx35/s1600/self-checkout-supermarket.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvS94EJmAC8aIqW-ps976V6gl3y5h-jBJea6qONGQLixSa-0Ii_Ra-1jNN-KYXS63lX0AFXH7egU8B1YiqI5RE5w1yZf8r8SHssaplJP21yZwkVwezXZxoCmtEz4yZ-YwL7vNQkYRCRx35/s1600/self-checkout-supermarket.jpg" height="133" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Hallelujah! The light at the checkout was glowing and so was I. I promise you I never have been so happy to see the light up number at the checkout line. It was like a metaphor. The light at the end of this God forsaken tunnel and errand from hell is over. Just one more step closer to the car where he will conveniently pass out to refresh himself for yet another hysteria when we get home.<br />
<br />
Sad to say, but that would be the last errand my son and I will do together for a while. I have to keep him contained and away from innocent people out there. Going forward I will run errands before his pick up from Daycare or leave him with grandma for a bit because I will not do this to myself again.<br />
<br />
Oh who am I kidding? I will. But not anytime soon though. Nu-huh. That kid is not mine.
<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Yes, my child has been on their best behavior today. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Said no mom ever
with a toddler.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
</div>
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;">
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">This child of mine is driving me crazy with his commotions over
absolutely any and everything. What did I ever do to you son? I'm just here to
help and smother you with love, not get these angrily outbursts or silly antics.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Today was a "regular" day or well it should have been.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">We have a schedule in the morning. I wake up, make breakfast, wake
him up (because God forbid the king wakes up and breakfast is not ready), we
eat, then get dressed (I hate that part). Then the last thing we do before
leaving the house is brush our teeth. That's usually where shit hits the fan
with A.J. (I'm used to it).<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">But not today, no, no, my son decided to start a little early (as
early as when he opened his eyes). I knew it was going down under the moment he
woke up and told me with a straight but tired cranky face "no school
mommy".</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<br />
<a name='more'></a></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Oh dear God, what did I do to deserve this at 7:30 am in the
morning? Why? I haven't had my coffee yet, son, please don't test me. </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">So naturally being the nice mommy I try my best to be, I didn't
say anything. I let him speak his peace and gave him a minute to fully wake the
hell up and realize that we are now a few minutes post schedule. After looking
at each other as if we were about to go to war (which we both knew was coming)
I told him let's go we have to potty.</span></div>
</div>
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;"><b>And thar he blows!</b><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjV-IOP407W3iH9Lr7XayCO-iE008F01n_T9ookPJxtGgsE70CVZZhgbDpVILxh7ykipMZ_YAAwgCv-JbqpWAMQev5NhEBxFp1JCBBFJrZAQFgvlzaunDAoPL1QRVZkMDU2QHyL-1kqpIcL/s1600/nightmarearch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjV-IOP407W3iH9Lr7XayCO-iE008F01n_T9ookPJxtGgsE70CVZZhgbDpVILxh7ykipMZ_YAAwgCv-JbqpWAMQev5NhEBxFp1JCBBFJrZAQFgvlzaunDAoPL1QRVZkMDU2QHyL-1kqpIcL/s1600/nightmarearch.jpg" height="211" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">The storm has begun. Tears like rain and “no’s” like thunder with
his agile quickness of running around like lightning. We both knew he had to
potty, for Pete’s sake we do this shit every morning. But not to A.J. today was
going to be the day he stood his ground. Literally stood his ground and pissed
on my carpet. Did I mention its only 7:45 am? <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">I didn’t plan on cleaning this early in the morning. This was
totally not part of my morning agenda. I quickly got some cleaning supplies and
got to work with my 2 year old “trying” to help. Which is him basically
standing there pointing to the spot and saying “uh oh mommy” while trying to
put a clean diaper over it. How considerate, considering this could have easily
been avoided if he didn’t throw a piss fit. With that squared and cleared. It
was time to eat, which went pretty smooth. I guess with all that energy he
released earlier must have gave him an appetite (I am just happy I get to eat
in peace) that doesn’t happen too often. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Off to get dressed (I told you I hate this part right?).<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">“No shoe mommy”, “No pants mommy”, “No socks mommy” if the boy
could have his way he would go to daycare in his Pull ups and a T-shirt. But in
the real world (which sadly he knows nothing about) it doesn’t work that way.
So guess who has to get the out lash of properly dressing her son for public?
You guessed it. Me! The twist and turns and the infamous arching his back (you
mommies know what I am talking about) the ultimate stance of saying “eff you
mommy try and fix me now” made me burst a sweat. Why am I sweating you asked?
Because it’s an effing work out trying to get this kid dressed. Managed to get
his shoes on and atlas, the work out was over. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Now onto my morning surgery (teeth brushing). I give him his
toothbrush while I brush my teeth. When I am done I usually brush his teeth (as
if he did any cleaning, more like tasting the toothpaste). “Mmm mommy” is what
I hear while I take a deep breath and strategically think of a master plan on
how to do this quick, efficiently, and less invasive. In other words, God give
me strength. This is not going to be fun. After about a 5 minute hassle (which
is not quick) his teeth was cleaned (efficiently) and there was no way in hell
I could have been any less invasive (he like things the hard way). <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">After all was said and done. I was kind of hoping this was just a
dream and this couldn’t be my life at this very moment. But who am I kidding? I
am a mother to a toddler, every day is a nightmare. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br /></div>

married mothers. Hmmph..I don't know. They probably do...I mean I wouldn't

to know its part. Selflessness is his cousin. They come hand in hand. If you
haven’t met sacrifice and selflessness, it’s time to meet them. They’ll give you
a painful yet awakening knowledge. <o:p></o:p></span><br />

<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">As my son
is getting older, I can't help but wonder who would want to miss out these
stages of life. </span><span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">His quest
for ever learning and his way of doing things is just simply amazing to me. (As
you can tell I am a first time mom)</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Being a
single mother I have noticed that my son and I are incredibly close. We do
everything together (as if I have a choice) but anywhere I go, here is my
little man with me. No complaints, I would rather him with me than him with
anyone else. With all that being said, I’m seeing the good side of it just
being us two.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<b style="font-family: Georgia, serif;"></b><br />
<a name='more'></a><b style="font-family: Georgia, serif;">Here's a few things.</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1eO_oElq0WgKgJZdKxkpyVGIMJJ-UruiUexbnB_hnhRYMlwgGkHFeQoJI2v0FR3cc1iphbBXauIvLCaHnl8M8iqwmsGzbC0MdVpHOoiLbtYjw_PaB9igPT8MyMCIIGpcegBunwIPP8UfS/s1600/Snapshot_20140809_30.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1eO_oElq0WgKgJZdKxkpyVGIMJJ-UruiUexbnB_hnhRYMlwgGkHFeQoJI2v0FR3cc1iphbBXauIvLCaHnl8M8iqwmsGzbC0MdVpHOoiLbtYjw_PaB9igPT8MyMCIIGpcegBunwIPP8UfS/s1600/Snapshot_20140809_30.jpg" height="248" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;"><b>Our bond</b> –
our bond is incredible. I get to say I saw all his first. Celebrated all his
milestones just him and I. Although he will be 2 soon, the hugs and the kisses
make up for any silly thing I was mad about. The smile I put on his face with
just the simplest thing, makes me happy. I love the trust he has for me,
knowing that mommy will never let him down (it’s a huge responsibility but one
I am particularly proud of). I’ll wear the super mom cape for as long as my son
let me. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;"><b>The final
say</b> – I don’t have to argue with anyone else when it comes to the welfare of my
child. It’s my way or the high way. My son and I are on a particular schedule
and he already knows what to expect from his mother. I don’t have to deal with
the “but daddy said” or “I’ll ask dad instead”. At the end of the day mom has
the final say. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;"><b>More
quality time</b> – even though sometime I wish I could run away (I could never)
from my responsibilities. I love every second I have with my son. The good, the
bad, and the tantrums.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEji4GrJhHjh1ITubR0Nx6_cffAretayw2CkdyG2cKLe3k6WPp3oUouC1tIylmsCu_DLUPw8uNk9tbndRfT8NjSJhcauiGAGcEXtrFY8IlsFAqPDdWLxcPKb_2oOGCvfuRbsF-_31fTRns-S/s1600/Snapshot_20140809_81.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEji4GrJhHjh1ITubR0Nx6_cffAretayw2CkdyG2cKLe3k6WPp3oUouC1tIylmsCu_DLUPw8uNk9tbndRfT8NjSJhcauiGAGcEXtrFY8IlsFAqPDdWLxcPKb_2oOGCvfuRbsF-_31fTRns-S/s1600/Snapshot_20140809_81.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;"><b>No arguments</b>
– the only argument I have is with myself. My son’s father chose not be in his
life so I do not have to speak, ask, or tell him anything when it comes to
rearing AJ. Hence no disagreement when it comes to AJ. I battle with myself
when it comes to bettering AJ.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;"><b>Support
system</b> – when my son was born, I’ve become and grown closer to the ones I want
in my life and eliminate the ones that do nothing for my situation. As a single
mother friends and family can be a huge support system. There are times when I
think I won’t be able to make/do it and with their encouragement it makes it
easier. Having a great support system can make or break a single parent. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;"><b>Control
of finance </b>- that is the tightest and hardest part. Of course more money will
make a difference but I am in control of my own money. With no support and
doing it all by myself. I can proudly say my son is maintained and very much
okay.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1C31NcqXibMEGiUy3eZjeLdYeprIIZyX8C-WdcOVdg35py9_NIFK8NXiXFaEjCsOkQsAzLtPn6doaI2wOK8j_RrrqNXrQoPB9LUlWTh_mrsbM-GZuHHsvAGeZWtN2xSSa-2j1bOiQpIu7/s1600/Snapshot_20140809_51.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1C31NcqXibMEGiUy3eZjeLdYeprIIZyX8C-WdcOVdg35py9_NIFK8NXiXFaEjCsOkQsAzLtPn6doaI2wOK8j_RrrqNXrQoPB9LUlWTh_mrsbM-GZuHHsvAGeZWtN2xSSa-2j1bOiQpIu7/s1600/Snapshot_20140809_51.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;"><b>Knowing
who my son is</b> – I will know my son better than anyone because I am the one who
is raising him. I know all his likes, dislikes, quirks, facial expression,
non-verbal cues. What he is thinking without even telling me. Knowing that I am
raising a little boy who I expect to be respectable, loving, open minded,
acceptable and caring to all.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;"><b>Empowerment</b>
– I have changed for the better becoming a single mother. I have become a
stronger person. Knowing that I am doing a 2 person job by myself 24/7 gives me
a great sense of pride. People ask “how do I do it?” I can’t even answer that
question because I still don’t know how I do it, I just do it. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
